Writeup
Rogue Remedy was built during a weekend game jam around the idea of a cell battling bacteria from the inside out. The result is a compact 2D roguelike where each run is about defeating enemies, collecting upgrades, and surviving long enough to take down the boss.
I worked across development and art, helping define the game feel, enemy presentation, and pixel-art direction under a very tight deadline.
The project came with real production pressure: the team had to adjust scope quickly after people left mid-development. That challenge forced us to rethink priorities, simplify ideas, and focus on what would make the game playable and readable by the end of the jam.
Gameplay features: roguelike progression, 2D combat, upgrades, platforming, and boss encounters.
